A new week brings new opportunities to serve, recognize others, and strengthen the community around us.

🏡 Monday, September 28 — National Good Neighbor Day
Sometimes community service starts right next door. Check on a neighbor, introduce yourself to someone new, lend a hand, or simply take a few minutes to reconnect.

❤️ Tuesday, September 29 — World Heart Day
A reminder to take care of one of our most important assets — our heart. Staying active, making healthy choices, and keeping up with regular medical care can all contribute to better heart health.

🧡 Tuesday, September 29 — Hunger Action Day
September is Hunger Action Month, and Tuesday provides another opportunity to support neighbors facing food insecurity. Consider donating nonperishable food, supporting a local food pantry, or volunteering your time.

🧹 Friday, October 2 — National Custodial Worker’s Recognition Day
Take a moment to thank the custodians and maintenance professionals who work every day to keep our schools, businesses, public buildings, and community spaces clean, safe, and welcoming.

🌿 September is also Healthy Aging Month
Healthy aging is something we can work toward throughout our lives. Staying active, eating well, maintaining social connections, and continuing to learn and stay engaged all contribute to our well-being.

Check on a neighbor. Donate a few items to a food pantry. Thank someone whose work often goes unnoticed.
