Our Beginning: A Community Coming Together

The Firehouse Solutions Volunteer Fire Company was established in 2003 by a dedicated group of community members who recognized the growing need for reliable, community-based fire and rescue services.

What began as a vision shared by a handful of volunteers quickly developed into an organization built on courage, commitment, and a genuine desire to help others.

With limited resources, donated equipment, and countless hours of volunteer labor, the founding members worked tirelessly to establish a fire company that would serve their neighbors for generations to come.

The company's first meetings were held in a small community building, where members developed operational procedures, organized fundraising efforts, and began recruiting volunteers. Through the generosity of local residents and businesses, the organization acquired its first fire engine and established a permanent home.

On October 15, 2003, the Firehouse Solutions Volunteer Fire Company officially began providing emergency services to the community.

From that day forward, our members have answered the call whenever and wherever help was needed.

Building a Foundation for the Future

During its early years, the fire company experienced steady growth as additional volunteers joined the organization.

Members spent evenings and weekends attending training, maintaining apparatus, and preparing for emergencies. Fundraising dinners, community events, and generous donations provided the financial support necessary to purchase equipment and improve the firehouse.

In 2005, the company expanded its capabilities with the addition of a second piece of fire apparatus, allowing volunteers to respond more effectively to fires, vehicle accidents, and other emergencies.

By 2008, increasing membership and call volume made it clear that the company needed additional space. With overwhelming support from the community, plans were developed for a larger fire station that would accommodate modern apparatus, training facilities, and future growth.

The new station was completed in 2010, marking a major milestone in the company's history.

A Growing Commitment to Public Safety

As the community continued to develop, so did the responsibilities of the Firehouse Solutions Volunteer Fire Company.

Throughout the following decade, the organization invested in firefighter training, modern protective equipment, and improvements to its apparatus fleet.

Members pursued certifications in structural firefighting, emergency medical response, vehicle extrication, hazardous materials awareness, and incident command.

The company also expanded its fire prevention and public education efforts, visiting local schools, participating in community events, and teaching residents about smoke alarms, home escape planning, and fire safety.

These programs reinforced a fundamental belief held by our founding members: protecting the community means more than responding when an emergency occurs. It also means helping prevent emergencies before they happen.

More Than a Fire Company

For more than two decades, the Firehouse Solutions Volunteer Fire Company has been more than a place where fire trucks are kept.

It is a place where friendships are formed, leadership is developed, and generations of families have shared a common commitment to helping others.

Our members have celebrated weddings, welcomed children, supported one another through difficult times, and stood together during some of the most challenging emergencies imaginable.

Some of our volunteers joined as young adults and have dedicated much of their lives to the fire service. Others have followed in the footsteps of parents, grandparents, and other family members, continuing a proud tradition of community service.

Although our apparatus, equipment, and facilities have changed over the years, the principles upon which this company was founded remain the same.

We are especially grateful to those who came before us and established the foundation upon which future generations will continue to build.
