Vulka VTS Train-The-Trainer in Briarcliff Manor

Earlier this week, Signal 73 was back in Westchester County (New York) with the Briarcliff Manor FD. The night focused on the abilities of their newly purchased and soon to be delivered Vulka Training System Multi-use Training Prop.

Members were shown a multitude of configurations and uses for the VTS. The Vulka is a versatile system that can be configured for flat roofs, peaked roofs, metal roofs, garage doors, and many other setups, allowing members to practice a wide range of realistic fireground skills. With the ability to quickly change configurations, the prop will give their members more opportunities for repetitions, hands-on training, and increasingly challenging scenarios right in their station either outdoors or indoors. The footprint of the VTS gives you the advantage to set-up indoors if necessary if outside room is not possible.
