Wednesday Night Training / Ropes And Rigging

On Wednesday night this week, members from Company 3 joined us for a joint training session. Participants reviewed knots inside the station before moving outside to the woods.

For the training, a rescue mannequin was placed in a tree stand. Crews then set up a haul system using Rescue 3's mechanical rigging and carefully lowered the mannequin to the ground. A second scenario was staged, utilizing a different rigging technique, and Randy the mannequin was lowered again.

We appreciate Ickesburg Fire for joining us and helping make this training possible, as well as Lauren and Marv for their assistance.

Thanks to Daniel and Jody Gehman for stopping in with homemade pizza for everyone before going to the woods. Much appreciated, pizza was delicious.
