| On Wednesday afternoon, Squad 33 was completing a residential lockout at 16:49 when they were dispatched to investigate a smoke alarm activation on Lismore Place in Silver Spring Township. Engine 31 also responded to the call. Chief 333 was informed that a sprinkler system had activated due to cooking activity. Upon arrival, crews discovered an active sprinkler, which had successfully extinguished a fire in the kitchen. Water was promptly shut off, and responders checked the surrounding area to ensure there was no further spread of the fire before beginning ventilation. The American Red Cross will provide support to the residents affected by the incident. No injuries were reported. Crews cleared the scene at 17:32. |
