October is Fire Prevention Month!

🚒🔥 October is Fire Prevention Month! 🔥🚒

Today, Squad 7, Engine 72, and EMS 7 had the pleasure of visiting Indian Head Elementary School to talk with their Pre-K and Kindergarten students about fire safety! 🧑‍🚒❤️

Our crews enjoyed teaching these young learners about the importance of fire prevention and helping them build safe habits at an early age. From learning about firefighters and emergency responders to understanding basic fire safety, these lessons help keep our community safer!

🏠 A few fire safety reminders for families:
🔔 Test your smoke alarms regularly.
🚪 Make a home escape plan and practice it together.
📍 Choose a designated outdoor meeting spot.
🛑 Remember: Get outside, stay outside, and call 911!

A big thank-you to Indian Head Elementary School for inviting us out and giving us the opportunity to educate and connect with our community's youngest learners!

Fire safety starts at home, and it's never too early to learn! ❤️🚒
