Annual Fire Prevention Detail

Hughsonville Fire Department Annual Fire Prevention Detail

On Friday, October 9th, firefighters from the Hughsonville Fire Department visited our local schools for our annual Fire Prevention Detail!

Thank you to Wappingers Junior High School, Evans Elementary School, and Randolph Elementary School for welcoming our firefighters. Students learned important fire safety tips for school and home, explored firefighter equipment, sprayed a real fire hose, and toured our apparatus.

We would like to thank the following members for taking the time to educate and engage with our community’s students:

Chief Justin Jerrick
Deputy Chief William Beale
Lieutenant Kevin Geidel
Lieutenant Trevor Dhalla
EMS Lieutenant Thomas Gallman Sr.
Past Chief Paul Rogers Jr.
Firefighter Joshua Gallman
Firefighter Michael VanBuren
Firefighter Brandon Compasso

Fire prevention education plays an important role in keeping our community safe. We are proud to help teach the next generation how to recognize fire hazards, practice fire safety, and know what to do in an emergency.
