The year 2027 marks a significant milestone — the 100th anniversary of the Eastern Division!

Today, the Pennsylvania Career Fire Chiefs Association and the Pennsylvania fire service were represented in Atlantic City, New Jersey, as the Eastern Division of the International Association of Fire Chiefs (EDIAFC) convened its monthly Board of Directors meeting and continued preparations for the 2027 budget.

As part of this historic celebration, the EDIAFC Board is visiting cities throughout the division that served as original host locations for Eastern Division meetings dating back to 1927. These visits honor the history, traditions, and legacy of the fire service leaders who came before us and helped shape the organization we proudly serve today.
