Structure Fire!

At 1:17am, Ward 6 Fire was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 1100 blk of Gideon Rd. Command unit 901 arrived at 1:20am to an abandoned residential structure with heavy fire throughout.

HOUSTON RIVER FIRE DEPARTMENT and DeQuincy Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched as automatic aid. Firefighters set up defensive fire attack and extinguished the fire.

Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal was requested to investigate the cause and origin of the fire.

All departments cleared the incident scene at approximately 3:50am.
