| Fire Prevention Is a Lifelong Commitment
Today, on National Fire Prevention Day, Malvern Fire Company encourages everyone to make fire safety part of their daily routine. Fire prevention isn’t just a once-a-year reminder—it’s a lifelong commitment to protecting ourselves, our families, and our community.
Simple habits can help reduce fire risks and prepare everyone in your household:
Test smoke alarms regularly and replace batteries as needed.
Make and practice a home escape plan, with two ways out of every room when possible.
Stay alert while cooking, and keep anything that can burn away from the stovetop.
Use heaters and fireplaces safely, keeping them clear of anything that could catch fire.
Keep matches and lighters out of children’s reach.
A few minutes of preparation today can make a meaningful difference in an emergency. Let’s keep looking out for one another and make fire safety a year-round priority. |
