Bay District Volunteer Fire Department units and multiple local departments were dispatched to the 20000 block of Renaissance Court in Lexington Park for a reported structure fire.

Units found a shed fully engulfed in flames, with the fire spreading to a nearby wooded area. Bay District Volunteer Fire Department responded with Engine 32, Rescue Engine 92, Tower 9, Chief 9B, and Engine Tanker 34, deploying 14 personnel.

Firefighters contained and extinguished the fire within 20 minutes. Crews remained on scene for over an hour to eliminate hot spots and secure the area. No injuries were reported.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause.
