🇺🇸 HONORING OUR VETERANS — CONTINUING A LEGACY OF SERVICE 🇺🇸 From Serving Our Nation to Serving Our Community!

🚒🚑

As Veterans Day approaches, the Stafford Volunteer Fire Department proudly recognizes and thanks the veterans within our ranks who have answered the call to serve not once, but twice.

These dedicated individuals first raised their right hands and took an oath to defend our nation. Today, they continue that commitment to service by volunteering their time, skills, and leadership to protect the residents and visitors of Stafford County.

🇺🇸 Please join us in recognizing our currently serving SVFD veterans:

⚓ Drew Chubb — U.S. Navy

🪖 Elexia Hertel — U.S. Army

🦅 Michael Hertel — U.S. Marine Corps

🦅 Whit Johnson — U.S. Marine Corps

🦅 Hilario Montano — U.S. Marine Corps

🦅 Dave Stewart — U.S. Marine Corps

Our Legacy of Military Service Runs Deep!

We also proudly recognize the many past members and Life Members of SVFD who served in our nation’s Armed Forces. Their dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to service helped shape the foundation of our department. Whether they continue to serve alongside us, have moved on to other chapters in life, or are no longer with us, their contributions to our country and our department remain an important part of our history.

While military uniforms may have been exchanged for firefighter and EMS uniforms, the values of duty, honor, courage, and service remain unchanged.

The leadership, teamwork, discipline, and selflessness developed through military service continue to strengthen our department and the community we proudly serve.

To our current members, past members, and Life Members who have worn our nation’s uniform — THANK YOU! Your service to our country and your dedication to the Stafford Volunteer Fire Department represent a legacy of service that extends far beyond the military.

And to all veterans throughout Stafford County and beyond, we salute you and thank you for your sacrifices.

🇺🇸 Different Uniforms. Same Commitment. A Lifetime of Service.
