This afternoon at 3:17 PM, East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers, along with Westwood EMS and the West Brandywine Police Department, were dispatched to the intersection of Hibernia Road and South Manor Road for a reported two-vehicle accident. Rescue 49 and Utility 49-1 responded to the scene, where crews arrived to find two vehicles blocking the intersection. To ensure the safety of everyone involved and those working at the scene, West Brandywine Police blocked traffic on the north side of the incident at the intersection, while Utility 49-1 established a road closure at Culbertson Run Road, south of the accident. Meanwhile, the crew from Rescue 49 worked to secure any hazards associated with the vehicles and applied oil dry to absorb fluids that had leaked onto the roadway. Fling's Towing also responded to the scene and removed both vehicles, allowing the roadway to be reopened. ✅ **Thankfully, no injuries were reported as a result of the accident.** EBFC crews cleared the scene in less than 30 minutes. We thank West Brandywine Police, Westwood EMS, and Fling's Towing for their assistance and cooperation at the scene. 🚒 **East Brandywine Fire Company – Neighbors Helping Neighbors!** |
