LEGAL NOTICE

NOTICE OF ANNUAL ELECTION FOR FIRE DISTRICT OFFICERS OF THE MONTROSE
FIRE DISTRICT PURSUANT TO SECTIONS 175 AND 176 OF THE TOWN LAW OF
OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that pursuant to Section 175 of the Town Law the annual election of Fire District Officers for the Montrose Fire District will be held at the Montrose Fire House, 2143 Albany Post Road, Montrose, New York, on the 8th day of December, 2026 between the hours of 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM, Prevailing Time.

One Officer, Fire Commissioner, is to be elected, for a term of five (5) years commencing January 1, 2027

Every elector who is a registered voter under personal permanent registration and a resident of the Fire District thirty (30) days next preceding the annual Fire District election shall be qualified to vote and to hold office.

The polls will be open for the receipt of ballots from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Prevailing Time, on December 8, 2026.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that pursuant to Section 176 of the Town Law candidates for District Offices shall file their names with the Secretary of the Montrose Fire District by November 18, 2026, and in addition, such nominations shall be submitted in petition form subscribed by twenty five (25) qualified voters of the District.

All completed petitions shall be submitted and filed at the Montrose Fire House, 2143 Albany Post Road, Montrose, New York by November 18, 2026.

Forms of nominating petitions may be obtained at the Montrose Fire House, 2143 Albany Post Road, Montrose, New York.
