This afternoon at approximately 12:19 PM, Company 2 responded to a brush fire call in Box 3-7 in Fountaindale. The fire started near the railroad tracks and the train tunnel area on Jacks Mountain.

Upon arrival, Brush Truck 2 and Special Unit 2 were directed to a wooded section above the fire off Scotch Trail. Fire Chief Wm. Jacobs, Deputy Fire Chief Adam Jacobs, and Assistant Fire Chief Brad Hartdagen walked down the mountain to approach the fire from above. Several hundred feet below the fire trucks, they met with other firefighters who were working just above the railroad tracks.

Multiple units from Pennsylvania and Maryland assisted in the response. Company 2 returned to service at approximately 2:55 PM. No other issues were reported.
