After more than a year of planning and numerous meetings, the department has finalized the decision to purchase a replacement for the current Tower 27.
The new truck, a 2030 KME, will include the following features:
103-foot straight aerial
Severe service Predator cab
225 feet of ground ladders
Hale QMAX single-stage 1500 GPM pump
300-gallon booster tank
Cummins X15 motor
Whelen lighting package
With rising costs for fire equipment and extended delivery timelines, the department decided to move forward with replacing the current 20-year-old Tower. Delivery of the new truck is expected in 2030.
