| With Halloween just around the corner, children will soon be transformed into witches, goblins, superheroes, and countless other imaginative characters. While Halloween is a fun and exciting tradition, it is important to keep safety in mind while enjoying the festivities. Please review the following tips to help ensure a safe and enjoyable Halloween for everyone: Halloween Safety Tips Only visit familiar homes with exterior lights turned on. A porch light is generally a sign that residents are participating in trick-or-treating. Consider using face paint or makeup instead of masks. Masks can obstruct vision and make it more difficult to see vehicles, obstacles, and other hazards. Wear light-colored costumes whenever possible or add reflective tape and accessories to improve visibility after dark. Carry a flashlight or a battery-operated strobe light to help illuminate walkways and make trick-or-treaters more visible to motorists. Young children should always be accompanied by a responsible adult. Older children should travel in groups and stay together throughout the evening. Wait until returning home before opening any treats. Parents should inspect all candy and discard any items that appear opened, damaged, or suspicious. Have a fun, safe, and Happy Halloween! ππ»π¦ΈββοΈπ§ββοΈ |
