A NEW CHAPTER FOR THE CONNOQUENESSING VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY!

This fall, the Connoquenessing Volunteer Fire Company officially placed our NEW BRUSH 12 into service! This exciting addition to our fleet represents another major investment in the safety of our firefighters, our community, and the surrounding areas we proudly serve.

🚒 MEET THE NEW BRUSH 12!

Our newest apparatus is a 2026 gasoline-powered Ford F-350 long-bed truck, replacing our faithful 1995 Dodge Brush 12, which served our department and community for many years.

One of the biggest improvements is our ability to transport personnel. Our previous Brush 12 seated only three firefighters. Our new truck can comfortably transport five firefighters, allowing us to respond with additional manpower while benefiting from the modern safety features and capabilities of a newer vehicle.

🚘 Shults Ford — Huge thanks to Shults Ford for making the purchasing process so easy and for their incredibly generous pricing! Their willingness to work with our department helped us make this important investment while keeping costs down.

🔧 Fossil Rock Services — Rather than purchasing an entirely new brush skid unit, we were able to reuse the skid from our previous Brush 12, substantially reducing the overall cost of the project. Fossil Rock Services handled outfitting our new truck with the existing skid. We cannot thank them enough for the countless hours, hard work, and dedication they put into getting this truck ready for service!

💡 1st Out Specialty Vehicles & Equipment — Thank you to 1st Out for installing the truck's emergency lighting and hose reel, ensuring Brush 12 is equipped and ready to respond when called upon!

🎨 McCool's Signs & Graphics — Our new Brush 12 is also proudly sporting our NEW department logo and updated graphic design! Huge thanks to McCool's Signs & Graphics for bringing our new look to life and making sure Brush 12 looks as good as it performs!

Our 1995 Dodge Brush 12 faithfully served the Connoquenessing community for decades. From brush fires and outdoor emergencies to countless calls for service, that truck was a dependable part of our fleet.

While it's never easy to say goodbye to a piece of our department's history, we're excited about what the future holds.

Our new Brush 12 provides improved crew capacity, modern safety features, and a dependable platform that will help us continue protecting Connoquenessing Borough, Connoquenessing Township, and our neighboring communities for many years to come.
