🚒🔥 FIRE PREVENTION CONTINUES AT HESS SCHOOL!

🔥🚒

Today, members of Laureldale Volunteer Fire / Rescue continued our Fire Prevention activities with a visit to Hess School!

Students have the opportunity to get an up-close look at our fire apparatus, meet their local firefighters, and learn more about the equipment we use to protect our community.

Fire prevention education is one of the most important things we do outside of responding to emergencies. Teaching children about fire safety at a young age helps build lifelong habits that can save lives.

👨‍🚒 Firefighter Familiarization is crucial while helping children understand what firefighters do and why they should never hide from a firefighter during an emergency.

📞 Calling 911: Knowing when and how to call for help.

Our firefighters also enjoy giving students the opportunity to explore the trucks and see firsthand the equipment we carry. These interactions help children become more comfortable around emergency responders while learning valuable safety lessons.

Laureldale Fire / Rescue is an all-volunteer organization, and our members take pride not only in responding to emergencies but also in educating the next generation about fire safety.

A special thank you to the students, teachers, and staff at Hess School for welcoming us today!
